Reader in Social and Political Design, UCA Canterbury

Kim Trogal is based at the Canterbury School of Architecture and Design, UCA. Kim joined UCA in 2016 to lead and redesign the teaching of history and theory across the school. She now leads the teaching of history and theory to our architecture undergraduate students as well as supervising doctoral candidates. Kim’s research covers the intersecting fields of feminist theory, ethics and politics in contemporary spatial practice. She is co-editor of several books and special issues including The Social (Re)Production of Architecture (2017), Architecture and Resilience (2018), Repair Matters (2019) and Care and the City: Encounters with Urban Studies and Planning Theory (2021).
